WELCOME adapted from Luncheon Program Booklet

The Bradman Museum and International Cricket Hall of Fame has recently undergone substantial renovations to escalate the visitor experience to an international standard.

During this summer of cricket the existing World Series Cricket (WSC) gallery has been dramatically improved, in both content and presentation.

The revamped space and exhibition has generated fantastic interest with our visiting public.

Today we pay tribute to the 69 WSC players and have honoured them by mounting individual plaques adjacent to the Bradman courtyard.

We acknowledge the players both past and present who have eagerly provided background knowledge, objects, stories and support, which has deeply enriched the exhibition.

Viv Jenkin’s widow, Jan Johnson, donated in excess of 1000 transparencies of Viv’s work over three years ago. This was the catalyst for the exhibition. We are indebted and grateful for her trust and hope we have done it justice.

It was wonderful to have so many guests enjoying the museum and its galleries, the luncheon. Many past players had the opportunity to renew acquaintances with old friends.

Also Michael Clarke was able to take a moment out of his busy schedule to stop by the museum. We hope he returns with the rest of the team!
